HOW DO I GET IN TO BLOWOUT?
Every single human being attending the Blowout must have a wristband around his or her wrist to gain access to a venue. No exceptions to the rule. If anyone loses or misplaces their wristband, they will NOT be given another one. Wristbands are $20 and get you into each venue, every night including the Launch Party.*
You can purchase wristbands online here from February 13th to March 6th.
On March 5th, wristbands can be purchased during the Launch Party at The Majestic Theatre or The Magic Stick.
From March 6th - March 8th, wristbands will be available at all participating Hamtramck venues from 8pm - 1am each night of the festival.
DON'T BUY WRISTBANDS FROM PEOPLE ON THE STREET; they might be cheaper but they're also counterfeit and you'll be shit out of luck and denied access to the festival. Official wristbands are sold ONLY within each participating venue.

I JUST WANT TO SEE ONE BAND AND DON'T WANT TO PAY $15 or $20 BUCKS ...
The whole idea of Blowout is to see as many kick-ass bands in four nights as you can. No one can see all 250 performances but even if you only catch 20 that's still a buck a band. If you want to see just one band, you're at the wrong festival.
HOW OLD DO I HAVE TO BE TO ATTEND?
Blowout is an 18+ event.
WHERE SHOULD I PARK?
Anywhere you can find a spot. There's tons of street parking throughout Hamtramck but little in the way of parking structures. Car pool, hitchhike, take the bus, just get to Hamtramck early!
HOW DO I GET FROM VENUE TO VENUE?
Shuttles run from venue to venue from 10 p.m. - 2 a.m. You must have a wristband to ride the shuttles. Most venues are within walking distance to at least 3 other venues.
HOW DO I GET A PRESS PASS?
Press passes are distributed to writers from legitimate media sources that plan on giving preview coverage of the festival. Email your request and story ideas to email@example.com.
I'M PLAYING BLOWOUT AND NEED TO PICK UP MY MUSICIAN PACKAGE?
Musicians can pick up their wristbands at the Launch Party on Wednesday, March 5th at the Majestic Theatre beginning at 8 p.m. If a representative of your band cannot attend the Launch Party, then your group's wristbands will be waiting for you at your assigned venue beginning on Thursday, March 8th at 8 p.m.
WHEN SHOULD MY BAND LOAD-IN?
Load in at all venues is at 6pm. Doors open at 8pm and venues will begin to fill up early so please try and have all of your gear loaded in early.
MY NAME SHOULD BE ON THE GUEST LIST ...
There is no guest list.
IS SOUND PROVIDED FOR THE BANDS?
All musicians are expected to bring their own gear; this includes DAT machines, turntables, etc. A basic PA package with mic stands will be provided. There are no backlines. Due to the number of acts performing there is no sound check.
HOW LONG ARE WE SUPPOSED TO PLAY?
Sets are 35-40 minutes. Stage managers have been instructed to keep the show moving. Please start your sets promptly and be courteous of the bands/musicians following your performance.
