Aaron Dilloway and Erika Hoffman-Dilloway are one of most musically prolific couples in the Motor City.

Dig this: Erika sang with electro-pop Godzuki (where she played keyboards too), His Name Is Alive, Cary Loren’s group Monster Island and Saturday Looks Good To Me. Aaron played with Galen (with Tim Monger of Great Lakes Myth Society) and Couch, was roadie for the Pterodactyls (with Andrew WK!) and was a founding member of noise gods Wolf Eyes.

Aaron performs now primarily as a solo artist and runs his label-mail order distribution company Hanson Records ( Erika’s finishing her Ph.D. in Linguistic Anthropology at the University of Michigan. She’s spent the past seven years off and on in Nepal working on her dissertation, which she’ll finish this year.

To top it off, on June 9th, Leo Merrill Dilloway became the newest Dilloway. And all is well with the family, despite, I’m told, some jealousy issues with their chihuahua Sticky.

When Aaron knocked up his wife, the couple decided to move from their rented house on Ann Arbor’s east side to a condo near Erika’s mom, just a couple miles north. The new digs include a basement spacious enough for Aaron’s gear (including an impressive modular synth!) and label headquarters. The living room houses their killer record collection and looks out on a deck and backyard. Upstairs sees an extra bedroom for little Leo.

Although two weeks old, Leo’s been christened a host of nicknames: Buster Brown, Frogman, Buggo, Grumplestiltskin, Gramps and “the Count.” Says proud dad Aaron, “Dude rules!”
