Party on, assorted freaks, ravers and club kids of all ages, genders and colors: Movement, Detroit's Electronic Music Festival, is taking over your headspace for the 10th consecutive year at Hart Plaza.
The three days of official sonic mayhem during Memorial Day weekend is produced, programmed and promoted by Ferndale-based Paxahau, which has handled all the zaniness with admirable aplomb since 2006.
Here at the Metro Times, we are into it on ground level at the festival, as well as bringing you the best of the historical hot, messy fun via archival material (words and pictures from the last three festivals). Explore this microsite before, during and after for artist profiles, videos, on the spot blogging from the riverfront and choice after-parties, backstage exclusives, photos of smarmy DJs and sweaty dancers and more, more, more. ... We're having fun already. —Walter Wasacz
